Mark came recommended by a neighbour living down our road, and was quick to respond when we reached out to him to get a quote. As soon as I met him, I felt as though I was in safe hands, and he did not disappoint. Over the course of 5 or so weeks, Mark meticulously decorated the entire upstairs of our home, including all woodwork, panelling, walls, ceilings, doors - the lot! He did so thoroughly and to schedule, with attention to detail way beyond our expectations representing excellent value given the skill and expertise. Most importantly he was a pleasure to work with. I trusted Mark so much that I left him with a set of keys so I could carry about my working week as normal. I would happily recommend Mark to anyone I know, and am looking forward to welcoming him back to do some more decorating on our downstairs this time!

Mark did a fantastic job wallpapering our under-the-stairs bathroom. From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and clearly takes real pride in his work. The space is quite small and awkward to work in, but he handled it with great care and precision, achieving a flawless finish. The attention to detail really stood out, especially around corners and edges where it could easily have gone wrong. We’re so pleased with the end result - it’s completely transformed the space. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone looking for high-quality decorating work.

I got fed up of spending (literally!) years nagging husband to get stuff done at home so I took matters into my own hands in August 2022: I found Mark (Denness Home & Garden) on Nextdoor and didn’t know what to expect having never used the app before (I’m a total sceptic). I’m currently on maternity leave with our second son so it was really important that we found someone trustworthy and pleasant to have around the house who could be flexible (and quiet for naps!). I am relieved to report that we are really pleased: Mark has been doing works for us at home from September 2022 to date (January 2023 at the time of writing) and (I’m sure to his eternal joy!) is our ongoing handyman. Works have included building furniture, fixing everything I could throw at him, painting, re grouting, plastering, fixing the fence and putting down slabs outside for a new bin shed. Mark has been really accommodating (he loves my never ending, always expanding list of to do items!) - he is unassuming, works hard all day and is very thorough (a bit of a perfectionist like me!). He’s great to have around the house and is popular with our 3 year old too as he’s very patient explaining to him what he’s doing, answering all the ‘why’ questions and letting him “help” (watch!). Now when anything gets done around here he says “Mummy did Mark do that? Mummy when is Mark coming again” 😅
